Singer-songwriter Signe Marie Rustad invited me to contribute with a saxophone solo on her latest album Particles of Faith which has received overwhelming reviews all over the place. The nearly 3 minutes long solo on Carrickalinga wasn´t ment to be that long. I just recorded enough bars so they had plenty to choose from - which is how it normally works:(
But Signe doesn´t compromise and she lets the music lead, so she came back with a 6.30 minutes verson of this song including the whole solo. Even a note in the very end I by a mistake forgot to edit away before sending her the files she kept. She really knows how to warm a jazz musicians heart! :)
